India’s longest-running global economic platform
Held every year since 1995, the Partnership Summit is organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in association with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
The 2026 edition returns to Visakhapatnam after the state hosted the previous edition. Its focus is the restructuring of global value chains: how trade, technology and trust are being reshaped, and where India fits.
What the last edition looked like
Visakhapatnam, November 2025. The same city and the same host state, one year on, with 46 high-impact sessions across seven strategic tracks.
Six tracks
The 2026 programme is organised around six thematic tracks, each running ministerial and sectoral sessions across the two days.
Trade, investment and global value chains
How governments and industry can build resilient value chains, improve trade connectivity and expand market access as friend-shoring and regional production networks accelerate.
Trust, geoeconomics and global cooperation
Trust as an economic imperative rather than a diplomatic one — transparent governance, rules-based trade and public–private collaboration in a fragmenting order.
Technology, innovation and future industry
Innovation ecosystems, IP protection, technology transfer and R&D intensity, alongside defence manufacturing, cybersecurity and infrastructure resilience.
Talent, skills and global mobility
Building future-ready skills for advanced manufacturing, clean energy, mobility and health-tech, and facilitating global talent mobility from the world’s youngest large workforce.
Transition to clean energy and sustainable growth
Renewable deployment at scale, storage and grid integration, CCUS and circular approaches to critical minerals, balanced against cost competitiveness.
Transforming agriculture, food security and bioeconomy
Precision farming, resilient seed systems, climate-smart agriculture and automation in food processing, in the year of India’s BRICS presidency.
How the two days are structured
Faculty is drawn from political leaders, global and Indian CEOs, policymakers, heads of international institutions, academia and think tanks, and media leaders.
Union and state leadership
The Summit is a Government of India platform hosted by a state. Both levels of government are represented in the programme.
Five Regional Conferences, October 2026
Working forums for regional investors. Each covers the industrial base, land availability and sector opportunity in its own catchment, on its own terms. Not as a preview of Visakhapatnam.
