An electronics cluster, not a single plant

A manufacturing campus at Sri City that brought its component suppliers with it.

Sri City sits two hours from Chennai port and inside Bengaluru’s supplier orbit, with more than two hundred companies already operating inside the fence. That density is the reason an anchor lands there instead of on greenfield land elsewhere.

LG’s decision pulled component suppliers in behind it. The anchor arrives, tier-two follows, and localisation improves for every company already inside the fence.

The campus strengthens the state’s cooling and consumer electronics base at a moment when both are being re-shored across Asia.

This plant will enable us to enhance localisation, optimise delivery timelines, and bring cutting-edge products closer to Indian consumers.
